Lexus made a huge impact at previous North American International Auto Shows with the over-$100,000 LFA Concept. For 2012′s even in Detroit, the foreign auto maker introduced a new design language to fans – Lexus LF-LC. The new LF-LC Concept was brought to life at the auto maker’s Calty design studio.

The outside of LF-LC includes various sharp angles and a whole lotta glass. Inside, organic shapes mold around those sitting on leather seating, a contrast to the vehicle’s exterior. Touchscreen controls are separated through a pair of 12.3-inch LCD panels, allowing driver input without distraction from the road. The use of so much glass is unlikely make it to the production phase, but the general theme and look of the vehicle is a strong hint as to what future Lexus vehicles will look like.

In fact, some of the queues on LF-LC (nose, grille, headlights, and bumper) are similar to the 2013 GS.

With no exact word on what can be expected to power this vehicle, Lexus states that “a front-engine, rear-drive hybrid power train” will be under the LF-LC hood. Lexus calls the powertrain “Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive,” and promises, “a rewarding driving experience that is also kinder to the environment.”
